On the 23rd anniversary of the international conspiracy against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, a demonstration was held in Vienna. The demo was promoted by the Democratic Kurdish Community Center.
Kurds and their friends gathered at Christian-Baroda-Platz and paid tribute to the memory of the martyrs of Kurdistan and the revolution.
Representatives of the Peoples' Democratic United Front (HDBH), the Comintern union and Austrian Civaka Azad delivered speeches condemning the international conspiracy.
The crowd, led by women and young people, marched with large photos of Öcalan and the banner "Now is the time for freedom of Öcalan".
The crowd chanted slogans in German, Kurdish and Turkish and delivered leaflets to people in the streets.
