Newroz was celebrated with enthusiasm in Bismil, Silvan, Lice and Dicle districts in the province of Amed. The people observed the measures in place to avoid the spread of the coronavirus and most celebrated Newroz on their balconies. People burned torches on the balconies and tires on the streets.

Fireworks were thrown and slogans chanted in this year's unusual celebration.
