The Armenian Parliament has debated the massacres of Yazidis by ISIS and called on international organisations to provide aid.

Yazidi organisations have presented a proposal to the Armenian Parliament calling for recognition of the Yazidi genocide. 

Following a debate in the Parliament an appeal was made to international aid organisations. In the appeal made by the Armenian Parliament was the following: “The Parliament of the Republic of Armenia and commissions have debated the mass crimes carried out by the ISIS terror organisation in Syria and Iraq against religious and ethnic minorities. We are concerned by the violence and crimes perpetrated by the radical militants against Iraqi Yazidis, who are in need of urgent humanitarian aid.”

Appeal to international organisations

Deputies in the Armenian Parliament stated that they shared the pain of the Yazidi people and called on all international organisations to work for a cessation of the attacks perpetrated against them.
