Around six thousand migration victims settled in Girkê Legê
Committee for Assistance for Migration Victims stated on Wednesday that 772 families, a total of 5721 people, have settled in the Girkê Legê city in western Kurdistan, recently.
The Girkê Legê-centered committee remarked that these people were made up of those who fled the conflict environment in Humus, Hama, Deyr Ezzor, Rakka and Damascus.
According to the committee, the figures also include some 300 families who have recently migrated from the Yusufiye village in Çelaxa region which has intensely been targeted by al-Qaeda affiliated armed gang groups recently.
The People's Assembly of Girkê Legê and the Committee for Assistance for Migration Victims are providing these families with all their daily basic needs such as housing and food.
