Arrest warrant has been issued for HDP Spokesperson Ayhan Bilgen and MP Meral Danış Beştaş after Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor's Office filed an objection to their release after a recent detention.

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Adana MP Meral Danış Beştaş had been detained during a house raid in Amed on January 27 in the scope of an investigation launched by Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor's Office. Beştaş was referred to Diyarbakır Courthouse in the morning and she testified for the speeches she held at press briefings during the 6-8 October demonstrations in solidarity with Kobanê and the curfew in Amed's Sur district. She was later released "on condition of judicial control".

HDP Spokesperson and Kars MP Ayhan Bilgen was also detained at Ankara's Esenboğa Airport on January 29 morning, and then taken to Amed for testimony. He was released the same day on condition of judicial control and a ban on leaving the country. Bilgen was charged with “membership to a terrorist organisation” in relation to the HDP Central Executive Board's decision on 6-8 October demonstrations in solidarity with Kobanê resistance, and his statements on the incidents.
