Assyrian-Syriac association condemns US decision

The Assyrian-Syriac association expressed solidarity with three Kurdish executives after US put a bounty on them.

Mesopotamia People's Congress Executive Council (MHK) has condemned the decision by the US to put a bounty on KCK Executive Council Co-chair Cemil Bayık, Public Defense Center Commander Murat Karayilan and PKK Executive Committee Member Duran Kalkan.

"We strongly condemn this unfair decision," MHK said in a written statement.

The MHK statement added: "No matter what support will be given to Turkey, military, economic and political, neither the US nor the European countries had so openly stood against the Kurdish Freedom Movement".

The statement said: "This is an anti-democratic and inhuman decision taken just to please Turkey and some dirty interests. We, as an institution of the Assyrian-Syriac people, would like to express our solidarity with the three leaders of the Kurdish Freedom Movement".
