An attack against the HDP members involved in election campaign in the province of Çorum has left 4 members of the party injured, including HDP provincial co-chair Ali Akkaya.
A group of HDP members who visited the people in Alaca district of Çorum were assaulted by a nationalist group insulting Kurds as they talked to the people and distributed leaflets.
The attack with sticks and stones left 4 members of the party injured, including HDP provincial co-chair Ali Akkaya. Police took the wounded party members to hospital and the others to police department, while avoiding any intervention on the assailants.
HDP Çorum branch strongly condemned the attack and vowed to continue their works despite all the attacks and threats they are facing across Turkey.
