Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria opens representative office in Geneva

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria opened a representative office in Geneva.

The representative office of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria was opened in Geneva on Monday. Bedran Çiya Kurd, deputy co-chair of the North and East Syria Autonomous Administration Executive Council, representatives of the Swiss government, some Swiss and Syrian politicians, as well as representatives of civil society organizations attended the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Bedran Çiya Kurd thanked the attendees and said: “I congratulate the peoples of North and East Syria on the occasion of the opening of their office. I would also like to thank all those who contributed to the opening of this place."

Noting that the opening of the representative office will reflect positively on the relations between the Autonomous Administration and the Swiss government, Çiya Kurd said: “I hope this representation will be a bridge between us. Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Autonomous Administration representation should be located everywhere. Both paid a heavy price against ISIS. There is a need for international solidarity to completely get rid of ISIS.”
