BDP MP Emine Ayna remarked that “making politics” is the only crime committed by Kurdish politicians who have been under arrest in the KCK case for two years now.
The public meeting which was organized at Baglar Mevlana Halit Neighborhood by Free Citizens' Association was joined by BDP MP and Labour, Freedom and Democracy Block’s Diyarbakir Independent Candidate Emine Ayna as well as a large number people.
Speaking at the meeting, BDP Baglar District President Ali Yüce announced a meeting to be staged at Station Square on April 19. Yüce called everyone to join the meeting.
Speaking after Yüce, BDP MP Emine Ayna said the followings; “The PKK had declared a ceasefire and taken a defense position on April 13 of two years ago. Without any delay, just on April 14, our friends were taken from their houses at early morning hours and arrested soon afterward while many of their belongings and documents were also confiscated. Further, they were not taken to court for 1.5 years. It is April now and has been two years since their detention although none of the accusations are definite. When we ask what crime they committed, the question remains unanswered. Their offence is to do politics”.
