BDP Demirtaþ met interior minister

The meeting of BDP Co-Chairman Selahattin Demirtaþ and Interior Minister Beþir Atalay has ended.

Giving information about the meeting which took place in Interior Ministry and lasted an hour, BDP Group Vice-President Ayla Akat Ata stated that her asked for a meeting with Beþir Atalay because he is the responsible minister for the so called "Kurdish initiative", the package of proposals presented months ago by the government as a way to solve the Kurdish question.

Ata said: “We are observing an increase of violence in the media in the recent period. Undoubtedly, the increase in operations and deaths is a reason for this situation. We discussed the process with the minister to see what can be done to find a way out from this situation. Ata also said that they didn’t discuss subjects like the detention of the “human shields” a few days ago.
