Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Council Member Mehmet Doymas and BDP Central Women's Council Members Necla Nergiz and Kýymet Ilgaz were taken into custody on Friday following police raids in Istanbul.
The reason of arrest has not been disclosed as the detainees are not allowed to see their lawyers due to a secrecy decision on the file. The detainees are being kept under custody in Istanbul Main Police Department.
On the other hand DÝHA reporters Özlem Aðuþ and Zeynep Kuriþ were released on Friday along with three others after their interrogation at the police department in Mersin as 17 were sent to the court by the prosecutor.
Thirty-six people had been taken into custody after the funeral of People's Defense Force (HPG) member Murat Þakar on February 14. It has been reported that four children are still being kept under police custody as ten children were released by the prosecutor pending trial.
