Following the Ankara meeting on 3 November, Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Central Executive Committee (MYK) will hold three separate meetings in Diyarbakýr on 11-13 November to determine an attitude against ongoing military and political operations.
The meetings will be made with provincial deputy chairmen on 11th, with mayors on 12th and with the Party Council (PM) members on 13th. The consecutive meetings of the BDP will address main agenda items such as the ongoing detentions and arrests under the name of “KCK”, military operations and loss of lives and the denial of permission for PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's meeting with his lawyers.
The first meeting on 11th under the chairmanship of BDP co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaþ and Gültan Kýþanak will address the proposals of local governances concerning the most recent developments.
In line with the discussions on the proposals made by the party base at the public meetings held with DTK within the scope of “organization mobilization”, BDP will address the same agenda items, opinions and proposals with mayors at the meeting on 12th.
Following the two major meetings, the meeting with PM members on 13th will make significant decisions basing on all meeting results and determine an attitude in the face of the current situation. The results of the meetings will be declared to public when meetings are finalized.
Apart from the opening speeches of co-chairs, all three meetings will be held closed to press.
