The governor of Istanbul rejected the request by the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party)to put up some tables in order to collect signatures for the release of Kurdish politicians.

The Governor justified his refuse by saying that heavy traffic of both people and other demonstrations held at the same time, would not have permitted the putting up of tables. BDP Istanbul Branch is going to apply to the Istanbul Administrative Court asking to revert the ban imposed by the Governor.
