Speaking in Diyarbakir today BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) Co-Chair Filiz Kocali said referring to the operation in which 12 guerrillas lost their life that: “This is a slaughter, a war crime. We will carry our anger to the streets”.
Reacting against the denial of permission to read the statement, Tan said the followings; “I am not allowed to make a press statement. I condemn both the governor, the minister and the candidates. The governor and the minister, however, permit the electoral meetings of the AKP at the General Directorate of Highways. 25 days later, we will make these statements at the governor's office. They should prevent us then if they can. If the AKP doesn’t solve this problem, 100 thousand people will stage a sit in the province tomorrow. They should get prepared for that. The Prime Minister shall work out these points instead of bullying.”
Speaking with police chiefs, BDP Mardin MP and the Block’s Diyarbakýr Candidate Emine Ayna said the followings; “The Governor's Office is the supreme state institution in Diyarbakir and we will try to make ourselves heard here. We cannot make a statement here, at the governor’s office, while people can easily make statements in front of the Prime Minister's Office. It's incredible.”
