With two days to go before the polls open, Labor, Democracy and Freedom Block candidates will today once again meet their constituency voters. In Diyarbakýr the Block candidates have organized a big convoy which will tour the city. The candidates will meet at 2pm in front of the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) office building and will then begin the tour of the city.
The last week of the campaign has seen tension increasing especially because of the attempt to strip Diyarbakýr candidate Hatip Dicle (who is currently in prison) of his right to contest the general elections because of a previous sentence. Also the Prime Minister words in these past few days have become a matter of concern for many as Erdoðan is now openly and at every occasion calling the BDP and the Block's candidates 'terrorist'.
Election wrok continue with the biggest concern being the ballot paper: some 80 centimiters long sheet of paper very hard to understand especially for those who can't properly read. House to house work is going on with election teams sent out to reach every corner of the constituency so to ensure the maximum turn out.
