In a statement issued by the governor's office in Bitlis, it was confirmed that all actions and activities in the city will be banned for 15 days, until 30 June.

"The indivisible integrity of the state", "coronavirus epidemic" and "possible social events" were cited as reasons for the new ban.

The Turkish government has been terrorizing the people for years with arbitrary and systematic bans in Kurdish cities. Bans are automatically extended every 15 to 30 days in most cities.
