Bodies of 3 YPG/YPJ fighters brought to Amed

Bodies of 3 YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Protection Units) fighters from Amed (Diyarbakır) who lost their lives in recent clashes in Kobanê have been brought to the main Kurdish city late Tuesday.

The bodies of Sertip Çelik (Berxwedan Amed), Aydın İbrahimoğlu (Çekdar Amed) and Jiyan Zengeralp (Zin Gülbahar) were first delivered to the Urfa Forensic Medicine Institution through the Mürşitpınar border gate.

Following post-mortem examinations, the bodies of the YPG/YPJ fighters were taken to their hometown late last night, welcomed by thousands of people joining a long convoy at the Urfa main road to accompany them to Amed.

Sertip Çelik will be laid to rest at Yeniköy Cemetery in Amed, Aydın İbrahimoğlu in the village of Cankatran and Zengeralp in the village of Mezrik in Bağlar district today.
