Families of five People's Defense Force (HPG) members had gone to Malatya hospital to take the bodies of their loved ones. It is alleged that nine HPG members had lost their life in a gunfight in the Ilýcalar Town of Bingöl on February 9.

Malatya Prosecutor's Office has said they identified six of the bodies from the fingerprints. The names of the identified HPG members are Hakan Özdemir, Cihat Güneþ, Ýrfan Erdan, Hadi Eryýlmaz, Renas Tekin and Cazim Yýlmaz. The identification of Hakan Özdemir and Renas Tekin was confirmed today by their families.

It has been reported that Hadi Eryýlmaz's family was still identifying the body and Cihat Güneþ and Ýrfan Erdan's families were going to Malatya.

Three out of the nine bodies had already been buried by their families.
