Body of prisoner Sağlam who ended her life not given to family

Political prisoner Zehra Sağlam jailed in Oltu T Type Closed Prison in Erzurum province, has ended her life to protest the isolation of Öcalan earlier today.
Body of prisoner Sağlam, who came from Varto district of Muş province, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute.
Sağlam family has left for Erzurum to get the body of their martyred daughter were turned down by the officials who stated that Sağlam’s body would be handed over to the Gendarmerie Command in Varto.
The Turkish regime had previously withheld the bodies of Zülküf Gezen and Ayten Beçet, political prisoners who had similarly ended their life to protest the isolation of Öcalan. Both Gezen and Beçet were then buried in silence without the presence of their family, relatives and people.
