The Raqqa Reconstruction Committee has discovered 41 books during their efforts. The books had been buried during the Baath regime era due to regime oppression.
The books are in Kurdish and Arabic, and are mostly written by Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. The committee has turned the books over to the Democratic Society Academy.
Kobanê Democratic Society Academy Member Mesûd Bozê said they had a hard time reaching some of the books discovered buried in the ground, and added that they will make copies of the books.
