As it happened in different Kurdish cities at the end of 2010, the new year started yet with another protest by students. This time it was the students from Silvan High School to break their pencils demanding their right to be educated in Kurdish.
Kurdish students are taking part in the campaign launched by Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and Democratic Society Congress (DTK) for “Bilingual Life” in the region.
The demonstration organized by the students was supported BDP and many NGOs in the city.
In addition, BDP Karaçoban Branch in Erzurum launched a signature campaign in its the branch building.
