Buldan: We need an urgent visit to Imralı
Speaking to Radikal daily after the KCK (Kurdish Communities Union) announced the suspension of the withdrawal process, BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) group deputy chair Pervin Buldan said that the suspension of the withdrawal didn't mean the ending of the resolution process.
“The ceasefire remains in force, as has been stated by KCK as well. The democratic resolution process is going on”, Buldan underlined and commented KCK's decision to halt the withdrawal as a message to the government which -she said- must make an urgent statement on the issue and take some concrete steps such as announcing the democracy package.
Buldan added that a delegation of the BDP needed to pay an urgent visit to Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imralı prison. Buldan noted that their party has already applied for a visit to Imralı and is waiting for an answer now.
