Call from France: Let's stop the dictatorship of Erdoğan

Deputy mayor of the Saint-Denis Municipality in France that hosted a theatre play on the Cizre massacre called Erdoğan a dictator who has to be stopped.

A theatre play was performed in French city Saint-Denis depicting the massacres and atrocities perpetrated by the Turkish army under the order of the Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan in Cizre, Sur, Nusaybin and Yüksekova.

The highly attended activity was organised by the French municipality of Saint-Denis and presented by Deputy mayor Sonia Pignot, producers Antoine Laurent, Mireille Court, Chris Den Hond, artist Armanç Kerboran, Pascal Torre on behalf of the France-Kurdistan Solidarity Association, and Nursel Kılıç on behalf of Democratic Kurdish Society Center in France.

Saint-Denis Deputy Mayor Sonia Pignot held the opening speech to the event, and highlighted the massacres perpetrated by the AKP government in Northern Kurdistan which she named as an act of atrocity.

Pignot held Erdoğan accountable for giving the order for this atrocity, and said: "Erdoğan is a dictator that murders peoples. Something has to be done against this without hesitation. The European politicians have to meet their responsibilities in this issue. Erdoğan needs to face reaction instead of interest. Only that way the dictatorship of Erdoğan can be ended."

Following the opening speech, the theatre play on the atrocious attacks on the civilians that were stuck in basements in Cizre was performed. The play was presented in French by artist Armanç Kerboran and his group, and depicted the atrocity in a plane language.

Following the performance, the documentaries "Ez Kurdim" (I am a Kurd) produced by Antoine Laurent, and "La derive Autoritaire d'Erdogan" (The rise of Erdogan's authoritarianism) produced by Mireille Court and Chris Den Hond were presented.
