The Kurdish people in Rojava, western Kurdistan, are resisting against the attacks of al-Qaeda linked gang groups in many ways.

The young men and women fighting in the fronts are being supported by members of the society in Syria's Kurdish region. 

Members of neighborhood assemblies in Serêkaniyê established a catering center for fighters of the YPG (People Defense Units). People working at the catering center start cooking at 8 a.m. and continue until late hours of the evening. They send the food to YPG’s control points one by one.
