ROME

Many Kurds attended the commemoration held at the Ararat Kurdish Cultural Center.

Making a speech at the commemoration, politician Idris Güzel said that the 14 July Great Death Fast was a very important turning point in the history of the PKK.

Drawing attention to the guerrilla resistance, Güzel said: "The spirit of the 14 July resistance has been re-created. We have always won by resisting, and in this process, the resisting forces will emerge victorious."

HILDESHEIM

The martyrs of July were commemorated in Hildesheim. At the commemoration, which started with a minute’s silence, a video about Diyar Xerib, Zinhar Devrim and the 14 July resistance fighters was shown.

Arif Yılmaz on behalf of KOMAW, Letif Karakaş on behalf of FED-DEM, Bavê Emer on behalf of the PYD and Kuistan, daughter of martyr Diyar Xerib's uncle, made speeches.

Speakers said that the Turkish state tried to end the Kurdish people and their freedom struggle in prisons in the 1980s, but the 14 July resistance broke the fascist attempt.

DORTMUND

Martyr Baran Mawa was commemorated in Dortmund. The memorial was organized by TCŞ and JXK activists and started with a minute’s silence.

Speakers on behalf of KOMAW said: "We must keep our promise to the martyrs and do everything in our power to make their struggle successful."
