The Children of Fire Initiative claimed responsibility for an action against the geothermal power plant, whose work was carried out by a private company called MB Holding in the Yılmazköy neighborhood of Aydın's Efeler district.

In the statement the group claimed that the power plant was rendered inoperable and added that the plant suffered great financial damage.

"Our response to Turkish fascist bosses who exploit Kurdish workers' labor as well as plunder Kurdistan - said the statement - will not be limited to this."
