In a written statement published by the Children of Fire Initiative, the group claimed responsibility for a number of actions.

The statement said: "Members of our Initiative in Tekirdağ-Çorlu damaged the enemy and its supporters by exploding the tires of tens of vehicles. They also made wall writings that greeted all members of the Initiative in Çorlu."

The Children of Fire Initiative also claimed responsibility for actions it carried out on 12 May. The statement said: "A furniture factory located on the Bursa-Ankara road was set on fire. As a result of the fire, the AKP-supporter owners suffered financial damage.

A factory belonging to an AKP supporter named Cevdet Kocabıyık has been burned in the Hendek district of Sakarya."
