CHP (Republican People's Party) deputy chair, Gülseren Onanç has resigned following criticism within the party against her pro-solution declarations. Onanç had been criticized by party colleagues when she said 65 percent of CHP supporters endorse the ongoing process aimed at solving the Kurdish issue through political means.
The CHP's official position has been one of total closure and criticism towards the government-led initiative.
