According to the information provided by local sources, fighting erupted between the local people in Gelenler village and a group said to be members of ISIS gangs who disappeared following a short clash that caused no casualties.

Villagers told that ISIS members opened fire on them as they started to pursue the suspected group after noticing them on the outskirts of the village late Thursday evening. The group, all bearing arms, fled the village and headed towards the border after a clash broke out when villagers responded to the fire.

Villagers said they informed the military post in the village about the incident after looking for the group for some more time and failing to find them, complaining that soldiers however did nothing and took no action.

Villagers who therewith decided to take the necessary security measures with their own means will be keeping guard every night to prevent the ISIS members from using the region, also calling for an answer as to why no intervention is being made by the security forces at the military post in the village.
