YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Centre reported in a written statement that the Kobanê resistance in the phase of victory continued for the 171st day.

According to the statement clashes are taking place in some areas where YPG/YPJ operations to liberate the rural areas of Kobanê are ceaselessly going on.

YPG Press Centre said that 3 members of ISIS gangs were killed in clashes near the village of Eydanê to the east of Kobanê last night.  A motorcycle and a tractor belonging to the gangs were also destroyed while a pick-up vehicle together with a dochka (anti-aircraft) weapon was seized, the statement said.

YPG Press Centre noted that the operation launched by Defense Units in the village of Lower Sexler to the west of Kobanê last night continued. YPG/YPJ seized a large quantity of ammunition of the gangs while the number of their casualties couldn't be verified.

Clashes also broke out between the villages of Xirab Eto ya Ereban and Nasirî on the western front, YPG said, noting that the casualties left here couldn't be ascertained either.

The statement added that two fighters of the Defense Units have lost their lives in operations and clashes during the last 24 hours.
