Clashes broke out in Cizre and Silopi when police made a gas bomb-attack on thousands of people marching to protest the police terrorizing on the marches held for February 15. Two children were wounded in the clash in Silopi.
Gathering in Baþak Neighborhood of Silopi/Þýrnak against the police terror on protest marches on February 15, thousands of people started a march towards Cumhuriyet Neighborhood in accompany of slogans “Pressures can not intimidate us”. The police assault coming after a while on the mass with gas bombs was responded by the mass with stones.
Two children were wounded during the clash due to the gas bombs hitting on the foot and head. While wounded children couldn’t be taken to hospital due to the blockade in the neighborhood, many people were reported taken into custody by action force police entering the neighborhood. Events continue.
Thousands of people separately gathered in Cudi Neighborhood to protest the police terror in Cizre and to give support to Mustafa Malçok who set himself ablaze in Diyarbakýr. The mass wearing blacks and carrying photos of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan began a march which was attacked by police with gas bombs on Nusaybin Street. The mass responded to police with stones and fireworks. The clashes continue.
