Co-mayor of Amed (Diyarbakır) Metropolitan Municipality Selçuk Mızraklı, Kayapınar District Co-mayor Keziban Yılmaz and Kocaköy District Co-mayor Rojda Nazlıer have been transferred to other prisons.

The three co-mayors had been removed from duty recently, and imprisoned on October 22nd.

Mızraklı was transferred from Diyarbakır D Type Closed Prison to Kayseri Prison, while Yılmaz and Nazlıer were transferred from Diyarbakır Women’s Closed Prison to Kayseri Women’s Closed Prison.

According to lawyers, the transfer of the three democratically elected and illegally suspended co-mayors took place at around 5am Saturday morning without a reason being cited.
