Collective life at the border
While the YPG-YPJ fighters have been carrying on a historic resistance against the attacks by the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and al Sham) gangs, the people maintaining the resistance vigil at the Suruç-Kobanê border are constructing a collective life. The people living with the villagers are constructing accommodation places for the people from Kobanê, cleaning the accommodation areas and cooking meals together.
As the attacks by the ISIS gangs on Kobanê continue, the citizens keeping the resistance vigil at the border are constructing a collective life in the villages where they are staying. The vigil keepers who are building a mutual collective life with the villagers are carrying out the work every day in a communal way with the villagers from cleaning the area to cooking meals. The people keeping vigil in the villages of Mehser and Miseynter are collecting the garbage and preparing the meals with the villagers.
The houses which were destroyed by ISIS bombs in Miseynter village are being fixed with clay. The women and men are preparing and distributing meals. The people coming together in the gardens of the adobe houses are singing songs about Kobanê and preparing the demonstrations. The people keeping the resistance vigil are saying that the spirit of solidarity and cooperation will be developed all along the border.
