Court in Turin to decide on surveillance of 3 internationalists

Italian prosecutor demanded special surveillance measure against three internationalists who had been in Rojava.

Another 90 days to know whether the three Italian internationalists who have been in Rojava, involved in the fight against ISIS and in the building of the Democratic Confederalism project.

In the hearing, on Monday, in the city of Turin, the prosecutor, Manuela Pedrotta, demanded the special surveillance measures to be imposed on the three internationalists because, she said, "they could implement military techniques in Italy learned by fighting alongside Kurdish militias in Rojava".

The totally groundless accusation confirms that there is a will by the prosecutor to punish the three internationalists who indeed are among those who have fought against ISIS. The prosecutor asked one year of special surveillance for two of the three internationalists, while for the third she asked two years.

Turin Court had previously rejected the request for special surveillance measures against two other internationalists who have been in Rojava where they joined the YPG-YPJ and the civil structures of the Rojava revolution and its fight against ISIS.
