The final hearing of the trial of Kayapınar Municipality co-mayor Fatma Arşimed from the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) who was forcibly removed from her charge on the allegation of "being a member of an illegal organization" was held at Antalya 10th High Criminal Court. Arşimed and her lawyer Ramazan Gökalp attended the hearing.

The prosecution demanded that Arşimed be punished for "being a member of an illegal organization". Arşimed pointed out that the statements of the anonymous witnesses were abstract and baseless, and that the activities she had joined were the work of the political party she was a member of. She reminded that she had already been acquitted in the lawsuit filed at Diyarbakır 9th Heavy Court.

Based on the so-called confidential witness statements, the court however sentenced Fatma Arşimed to 6 years and 3 months in prison for "being a member of an illegale organization".
