Green Left Party deputy Özgül Saki is facing an investigation on the grounds that she described police officers as "occupiers" after a police intervention into a demonstration.

Before the criminal complaint filed by the General Directorate of Security, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya had claimed that Saki "insulted police officers who prevented an unauthorized demonstration by calling them invaders.”
