The resistance of Emine Şenyaşar who lost her husband and two sons in attacks by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız’s bodyguards and relatives, and of her son Ferit Şenyaşar who was injured in the same attack, continued on the 140th day in front of Urfa Courthouse. Lawyers of the family filed a criminal complaint against the unlawful detention of Emine and Ferit Şenyaşar on June 14 when Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chair Pervin Buldan visited Urfa province.

Lawyers appealed to the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and filed a criminal complaint against the unlawful detention without a written order. The complaint petition said, “We kindly request criminal prosecution against all parties responsible for the 2-day-long unlawful detention of our clients.”
