Van death toll rose to 32 people while accusation and controversial continue. The second earthquake hit Van on Wednesday. It was a 5.7 magnitude but it made several damages. Among the dead are two Turkish journalists and a Japanese aid worker. Two hotels collapsed after the second quake, rising doubts over the safety control on buildings. Indeed the Bayram Hotel was used by journalists and aid workers as a base.
The previous quake, on 23 October was of 7.2 magnitude and killed 604 people. In Van it is heavily snowing since yesterday.
