A broad alliance of left organizations and Kurdish structures from the region of Emilia Romagna took the streets of Bologna (Italy) to show their continuing solidarity with the Kurdish struggle.

With the demonstration, activists in Italy joined the call for global action to Defend Kurdistan on 11 June. Some 500 people participated in the demonstration.

The participants of the demonstration condemned the war of the fascist Turkish state against Kurdistan, the attacks against the Ezidis and the threats by Erdogan of a new invasion of Rojava. Activists criticized the silence of the world and called for breaking this silence and to defend Kurdistan and the Revolution of Rojava everywhere around the world.

Activists had a huge banner that said "Defend Rojava" and many flags for the
freedom of Abdullah Öcalan.
