Many villages of Deir ez-Zor have been cleansed of ISIS in the third phase of the Operation Wrath of Euphrates in which Deir ez-Zor Military Council actively participates.

Deir ez-Zor Military Council Commander Ahmed Abû Xewla has called on the youths in the region to join operation and the liberation of their lands.

In a statement near Deir ez-Zor, Commander Ahmed Abû Xewla said the followings:

“I call on the youths from Deir ez-Zor that are currently in Turkey, Idlib, Hama, Homs and Dera to join the ranks of Deir ez-Zor Military Council to liberate their lands from terror. We promise to defend the region against terror attacks and we will train the youths that will join our ranks in order for the liberation of our land from the gangs.”

Recalling that the operation to liberate Deir ez-Zor was launched in the third phase of the Wrath of Euphrates campaign, Ahmed Abû Xewla said: “Fighters of our Council have liberated a larger part of Deir ez-Zor and cleansed several villages such as Abu Xeseb and Jerwan of the gangs. We now have al-Qubur, Euphrates River, Juzur Mîlac, Bû Hemîd, Juzur Bû Shemis and Bû Rashide areas before us. Syrian Democratic Forces and Deir ez-Zor Military Council are deployed at the border of Raqqa at the moment.”

Deir ez-Zor Military Council Commander called on the people to not heed the reports of some media organs that defame the SDF, and added the followings: “SDF is a revolutionary force comprised of all peoples in Syria including Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs. The city of Deir ez-Zor will be liberated soon. All the local youths that want to join our ranks are welcome.”
