Delegation from Rojava and KNK in South Africa for talks
A delegation from Rojava and KNK are holding several meetings in South Africa. Öcalan’s isolation has also been protested in the meetings.

A delegation comprised of PYD Co-chair Saleh Moslem, YPJ Commander Shaha Abduh and KNK Co-chair Rêbwar Reşîd and KNK Foreign Relations Commission Member Yılmaz Orkan are holding several meetings in South Africa.
The delegation attended a dinner held on August 21 and gave information on Rojava and the Syrian civil war. In the meeting, the delegation talked about the development of the women’s struggle and on the struggle of running a democratic system.
Afterwards, meetings were held with Foreign Relations Deputy Nomaindiya Mfeketo, Environment Minister and ANC Foreign Relations Representative Edna Molewa, State President Chief Advisor and Minister Ebrahim Ebrahim and South African Parliament ANC Labor and Foreign Relations Commission. In these meetings the delegation asked for international help in recognition of Rojava’s status and the founding of a democratic Syria.
The delegation held another meeting with the president and deputies of the constitutional and supreme courts.
DEMAND FOR ÖCALAN’S FREEDOM
South African Democratic Lawyers (NADEL) held a meeting attended by PYD Leader Saleh Moslem and YPJ Commander Shaha Abduh. South Africa’s legendary leader Nelson Mandela’s lawyer and High Court Judge Essa Moosa talked about the isolation imposed upon öcalan. Moosa demanded Öcalan’s freedom.
YPJ commander talked about women’s struggle and invited the attendees to Rojava.
Moslem said they were fighting to create a democratic and pluralistic society in Rojava.
KNK Co-chair Rêbwar Reşîd talked about the struggle in the four parts of Kurdistan.
