People’s Democratic Party (HDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş met the president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Council (PACE), Anne Brasseur, and the delegation accompanying her in the Turkish parliament. The meeting was closed to the press.

The PACE president will also have meetings with Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the PM Ahmet Davutoğlu as well as the Parliamentary Chair Cemil Çiçek, Head of the Constitutional Court, Zühtü Aslan, EU Minister Volkan Bozkır, Foreign Affairs Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and the representatives of the political parties in the Turkish parliament.

The PACE delegation is also expected to visit refugee camps in the Kilis district of Gaziantep where Syrian refugees are staying.
