Demo against the isolation of Öcalan in Athens

Worldwide protests against the isolation regime against Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, imprisoned in the island prison of Imralı in Turkey.

The Greece Action Union Turkey-North Kurdistan Platform organised an action in Athens, Greece to give voice to the Kurdish hunger strike resistance demanding the end of aggravated isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The Greece Action Union Turkey-North Kurdistan Platform is made up of PKK, MLKP, MKP, DKP, TKPML and SYKB.

Activists opened a stand at the Syntagma Square in Athens and handed out leaflets to passersby providing information about the ongoing hunger strikes to end Turkey’s isolation regime against Öcalan.

Chanting slogans against isolation, demonstrators called for an immediate end to the isolation which they said was a crime against humanity.
