Kurds and their friends in Oslo, capital of Norway staged a demonstration to call public attention to the situation of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan after the media reports of a fire on the Imralı Island where he is held together with Ömer Hayri Konar, Hamili Yıldırım and Veysi Aktaş.
Gathering in front of the Foreign Ministry, demonstrators protested the aggravated isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader.
Rozerin Algunerhan in the name of UNGKURD and Weli Êzidî in the name of KCDK-E called on Norwegian officials and the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) to act immediately for Öcalan.
