A demonstration was organised in the German city of Frankfurt in protest at the imprisonment of Kurdish politician Leyla Güven, co-chair of the Democratic Society Congress (DTK).

Women from different organizations joined the action at Hauptwache Square Tuesday afternoon, including Women Defend Rojava.

During the action which was organised by Frankfurt Amara Women’s Council, activists condemned the 22-year prison sentence given to Güven and called for her immediate release.
