Democratic Alevi Federation has called upon the all the Alevi, Kızılbash and Reya Heqi faith groups to act for the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

A written statement released by FEDA called upon people from Alevi-Kızılbash faith groups, mainly those in Europe, to undertake responsibility for the security, health and freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Stressing that it is a humane mission to stand against the inhumane practices imposed on Öcalan, FEDA said “We consider every unlawful treatment against human and humanity as done to us”.

FEDA recalled that no news at all has been received regarding the situation of Öcalan since the coup attempt of July 15.
