Nine members of Democratic Patriotic Youth (DYG), have been taken into custody following the raids by the special operation teams of the Democratic Solution Tent in Cizre district of Sirnak.

Sýrnak Police Department police and special operations teams carried out a raid on the Democratic Solution Tent in Cizre and detained eight DYG members Hozan Aslan, Vedat Aslan, Abdullkerim Kolanc, Islam Gügmen, Rojhat Göçer, Semsa Arslan, Suat Kolanc and Mazlum (surnamed unidentified). The raid of special operations teams continued in Yafes and Nur Neighborhoods where Vedat Cagani was also taken under custody after a house raid. Nine detainees are reported to be held at Cizre Security Directorate.

While houses were messed up during the raids, a citizen Remziye Akdogan, showing reaction to the raids, said the followings; “They have carried out a number of raids on our house to take my son into custody. They say that my son is joining acts. He has gone to Istanbul for work but police doesn’t understand that.”
