Demonstrations for Öcalan in Paris, Strasbourg and Lyon, on 2 and 3 September

Demonstrations will be held in Paris, Strasbourg and Lyon, on 2 and 3 September to protest the isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The French Democratic Kurdish Council (CDK-F) and the French Kurdish Women's Movement (TJK-F), said in a statement that they "will be on the streets in Strasbourg and Paris on 2 and 3 September, with the slogan 'Free leadership means free people' to protest the isolation of Rêber Abdullah Öcalan."

On 2 September there will be marches in both Paris and Strasbourg (in front of the Council of Europe).

The CDK-F and TJK-F reiterated that the isolation imposed against the Kurdish People's Leader is part of the Kurdish genocide, and called on all patriotic and revolutionary-democratic public opinion to attend the protests to be held not just in Paris but also in Strasbourg and Lyon.

Kurdish associations active in Southern France said the central march in the region will be held in Lyon on Sunday, 3 September.
