Deputy Prime Minister Çiçek in the USA for talks on PKK
During his visit to the USA, Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Çiçek held 15 separate talks including those with the Interior Minister, Minister of Justice, FBI Chair and Deputy Interior Minister about PKK, Federal Kurdistan Region and the nuclear deal in Iran.
According to the news reported by the daily Hürriyet, Çiçek's talks with leading governors were held behind closed doors.
The two countries exchanged ideas about PKK, Iraq and the nuclear issue in Iran.
Çiçek indicated the US that PKK is carrying on its activities despite the trio coalition of Turkey, USA and Iraq.
It was also stated that Çiçek brought the issue of cutting PKK's economical sources into question at the security meetings.
Çiçek also stated that no progress was made about the previously given list of PKK members.
