Detention period extended to 30 days during the State of Emergency

Detention period has been extended to 30 days and the meetings of prisoners with their families have been restricted with a decree published on Official Gazette today.

The first decree of the State of Emergency has been published on Official Gazette and come into force.

Accordingly, detention period has been extended to 30 days and the meetings of prisoners with their families have been restricted.

Within the scope of the decree for precautions in line with the State of Emergency, 35 health institutions, 1043 private educational institutions, 1229 foundations and associations, 19 unions and 15 foundation higher education institutions affiliated to the Fethullah Gülen organisation have been closed.
